Voter Readiness
Are you ready to vote in 2027?
Knowing the candidates is only half of it. Make sure you can actually vote — registration, your PVC, and your polling unit. It takes about five minutes.
Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) ends 30 August 2026. After that date you cannot register to vote in the 2027 elections.
Do this now
PVC checklist
All four are handled through INEC's Continuous Voter Registration — start online then finish at a registration centre. Allow 14–30 days for your PVC to be ready.
- New voter
Register for the first time
Turning 18 by election day and not yet registered? Start the online pre-registration, then complete it in person at a registration centre before 30 August 2026.
- Moved
Transfer to your current area
Changed state, city or address since you registered? Apply for a transfer so your PVC works at the polling unit where you now live.
- Lost / damaged
Replace your PVC
Card lost, stolen or damaged? Request a replacement through INEC — take your details and any reference slip to the centre.
- Wrong details
Correct your information
Misspelt name, wrong date of birth or a poor photo? File a correction so your card matches your ID at accreditation.
